Self Esteem, or confidence in one's worth or abilities begins in childhood. Awareness of this crucial part of child development is necessary to the health and well-being of a growing child. The Childrens' Rights Foundation works with local partners to support Self Esteem Programs designed to build a child's confidence in himself or herself. Such programs include:
Parental education programs in positive parenting that raise awareness of the effects of mirroring, utilize strategies in developing independence, giving praise, attention, love and compassion.
Programs to prevent bullying and cyberbullying
After school tutoring programs that support school curriculums
